City of Perth Transport Engineering Specialist

The City of Perth is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Urban Transport department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of traffic engineering projects that maintain and improve the transport networks in the city.
About the Role:
- Develop and manage traffic engineering projects from feasibility stage through to delivery, ensuring they meet required design standards and safety requirements.
- Provide technical advice on capital works projects, including major streetscape upgrades, intersection modifications, and traffic management schemes.
- Analyze crash statistics, conduct accident investigations, and develop remedial measures to improve road safety.
- Manage project briefs, budgets, and consultants/contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in traffic engineering, transport planning, civil engineering, or related field with extensive industry experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary best practices in traffic engineering, including Road Safety Audits and Traffic Impact Assessments.
- Proven skills in plan, design, and delivery of traffic engineering projects, with experience in urban context preferably in Australia and Local Government environment.
- Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff members.
