Job Overview

Clinical research nurses play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of clinical trials, guaranteeing patient safety and well-being. As a clinical research nurse at this esteemed institution, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to participants, managing trial protocols, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of research project management, including preparing documentation, assisting database development, monitoring study progress, reporting to stakeholders, analyzing clinical data, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and supervising junior staff.
  • Oversee trial operations, prepare research agreements, coordinate communications with stakeholders and trial sites, oversee recruitment and assess patient eligibility, manage data collection, and ensure patient safety.

About You
  • Possess tertiary qualifications in Science or a related Health field.
  • Hold significant clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse, preferably in specialist rheumatology nursing with training in joint counts.
  • Be accredited in phlebotomy and subcutaneous injections.
  • Have experience coordinating and conducting clinical research, including trial management and supervision, patient assessment, data entry, and quality monitoring.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the management and conduct of clinical trials, along with knowledge of regulatory and ethical requirements in Australia.
  • Display proficient computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of databases and Excel.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills, with a proven track record of completing tasks on time and to a high standard, paying close attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
