Instructional Designer

This role involves working as an Instructional Designer for a period of 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension to 12 weeks. The successful applicant will be based in Brisbane CBD.

  • Using instructional design methods to structure, design, and develop content and training materials.
  • Designing instructional materials, including storyboards, scripts, and interactive activities using Articulate software.
  • Selecting or developing multimedia elements such as graphics, animations, videos, and simulations to enhance learning content.
  • Developing modes of assessment, such as tests, quizzes, or scenarios to assist with assessing a learner's competency.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders in the creation, maintenance, and transition of existing learning materials and job aides.
  • Coordinating, developing, and maintaining knowledge artefacts, version control, and user feedback.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and training development.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Articulate suite, particularly Rise.
  • Proven skills designing, developing, writing, and creating educational content and programs using adult learning principles.
  • Established understanding of adult learning principles in formulation of educational content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications in adult education or education (advantageous).
