A permanent opportunity exists to participate in our graduate development program, designed to shape your career over three years. This customized program will provide diverse experiences across various sites, including corporate offices, mines, refineries, and powerhouses.

Job Responsibilities

As a Graduate Chemist at this organisation, you will learn, grow, and develop hands-on experience and expertise in:

  • Learning the intricacies of the Bayer process, one of the industry's most complex chemical processes.
  • Being mentored by industry experts as you have access to a global technical centre of excellence based onsite.
  • Developing and implementing chemical methods and instrumental analytical techniques.
  • Taking an active role in laboratory safety management.
  • Collaborating on laboratory and refinery-based investigative and improvement projects.
  • Utilising your understanding of chemical processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Development and Mentoring

Diverse experiences will be provided throughout the program, including working in corporate offices, onsite environments, and rotating through mine sites, powerhouses, and alumina refineries. An increasing level of responsibility will be given, along with coaching, mentoring, hands-on and professional training. Your innovative thinking, motivation to learn, and passion for growth will shape the future of the business.
