">This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Associate Construction Lawyer to take on a key leadership role in the Melbourne team of a national Construction practice, led by highly regarded Partners recognised in Chambers APAC and Legal 500.
">You will be working alongside a highly respected Special Counsel with deep expertise in major construction disputes and be supported by a team of Associates working across both front-end and back-end matters. The Partners in Sydney and Brisbane are actively involved in the Melbourne market and travel here regularly, giving you the support of a well-resourced national team — but with room to step up and lead locally.
">The practice is looking for someone to play a pivotal role in shaping the practice in Victoria while working on some of the country's most significant infrastructure and energy projects. You will have a leading role in managing key client relationships in Victoria, acting as the primary local advisor on front-end matters, and be first in line for Partnership as the team continues to grow.
">Another point of difference compared to other major Construction practices is that you will be advising on projects across the entire country. This national scope brings variety, challenge, and a broader strategic perspective to your work.
">As a Senior Associate, you will advise on all aspects of procurement and delivery for major capital works — including PPP, EPC, D&C, and O&M arrangements, alliance contracting, and consultancy agreements. The work is technically demanding and commercially sophisticated, often involving cross-border investment, joint ventures, and complex risk allocations.
">The firm has a strong global reputation in infrastructure and energy, and there is a strong pipeline of multi-jurisdictional cross-border projects. You will also benefit from hybrid working, transparent bonus structures, and a clear, merit-based approach to progression.
">This role would suit a Senior Associate with strong experience in major energy and infrastructure construction — ideally including PPP or government-led projects — who is ready to take on a leadership role with a clear path to Partnership.
