Seeking a dynamic Solicitor or Associate with 1.5 years of PQE experience in professional indemnity, general litigation, coverage, or financial lines.

Job Description

Solicitors and associates play a crucial role in solving complex legal problems and challenging the status quo by providing expert advice on solicitors' professional indemnity claims and environmental liability matters, as well as advising on high-stakes indemnity disputes and policy interpretation matters related to coverage aspects of financial lines.

The successful candidate will work with Dean Pinto across various areas of Financial Lines coverage and defence, handling claims involving mismanagement, employment practices, fiduciary duties, and defending various professionals against negligence claims.

This is an exciting opportunity for lawyers with an interest in professional indemnity, litigation, coverage, or financial and professional risks, who can take ownership of matters and drive them forward while collaborating with a team of passionate individuals dedicated to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice on solicitors' professional indemnity claims and environmental liability matters.
  • Advising on high-stakes indemnity disputes and policy interpretation matters related to coverage aspects of financial lines.
  • Defending directors and officers in claims related to their corporate roles.
  • Handling claims involving mismanagement, employment practices, fiduciary duties, and defending various professionals against negligence claims.

Requirements:

  • 1.5+ years' PQE experience in professional indemnity, general litigation, coverage, or financial lines.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • Confidence to take ownership of matters and drive them forward.
