We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Cairns, Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful tropical location and make a meaningful impact in the community.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients develop, recover, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans and goals tailored to each client's needs.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor progress.
  • Educate clients and their families about strategies and techniques to support independence and improve quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or eligible to apply (completed stage 1 desktop assessment)
  • English exam.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy
