About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for HSE to make a real impact in a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMSs), policies, procedures, and supporting systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on HSE matters to management and actively participate in problem-solving and implementation of solutions.
  • Manage site WHS and Environment Management Systems to provide consistency within the organization.
  • Assist Managers and Supervisors in conducting Risk Assessments and identifying hazardous substances, plant, work tasks, and amenities.
  • Lead incident investigations as required and recommend control measures for hazards.
  • Conduct WHS and Environment audits and inspections with Managers, Supervisors, and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs).
  • Advise on workplace health, safety, and environmental matters and actively participate in problem-solving and implementation of solutions.
  • Foster a positive safety culture through daily engagement with the workforce.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in HSE roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in OHS/WHS or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OHS/WHS and Environmental auditing and reporting.
