We're looking for a skilled Accountant to join our innovative team at Transurban. You'll work on a range of accounting tasks, including preparation of financial reports, analysis, and statutory financial statements.

About the role

As our Accountant, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. This is meaningful, challenging, and exciting work.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements for Group and subsidiary entities
  2. Prepare financial deliverables, including statutory reporting inputs for the Investor Presentation and board/committee papers
  3. Develop technical accounting knowledge across the broader Transurban Accounting Group
  4. Support the audit process by providing key information to resolve any queries
  5. Be involved in ad-hoc project work that impacts the wider team in areas such as system integration

This role will suit someone with a curious mind, transferrable skills, and experiences, including:

  1. Relevant accounting experience, ideally in a complex and corporate environment
  2. Candidate must be degree-qualified in Business, Commerce, or Finance, with professional accounting accreditation (such as CA or CPA)
  3. Analytical skills, strong financial reporting knowledge, and ability to identify and analyze key business drivers
  4. Comfortable with change, open-minded, and able to adapt to new situations with ease
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to engage with and create strong working relationships across the business
