We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of cutting-edge Smart Meter applications that power our electricity distribution networks.
The successful candidate will design and build data pipelines, analytical tools, dashboards, and reports that enable smarter decision-making and more reliable energy delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building ETL workflows (batch & stream) to ingest, transform, and load master data into analytical stores.
- Maintaining and enhancing the business data model to support evolving analytical use cases.
- Implementing automated data quality checks, anomaly detection, and monitoring processes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related incidents, working closely with engineering, operations, and IT security teams.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and technical specialists to shape high-level solution designs that meet business needs.
- Developing secure, high-quality applications, dashboards, and reports.
- Validating solutions against business requirements and scope of works.
- Monitoring performance of existing solutions to ensure they continue delivering business value.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or IT/Computer Science or a business-related discipline.
- Proven experience developing ETL workflows, data pipelines, and analytical solutions.
- Strong SQL and database expertise, with a passion for data integrity and quality.
- Python programming experience.
- Well-developed statistical modelling skills.
- Machine and Artificial Intelligence experience.
- Experience with data visualisation tools and dashboard/report development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple business units.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
