Backend Engineer – Melbourne

This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, and all applicants must have full working rights in Australia to apply.

The Role

As a Mid Level or Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of a newly formed squad responsible for designing and developing various backend applications and new modules for their Retail platform.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • A minimum of 4-5 years commercial experience in Software Engineering
  • In-depth experience in Backend Development using Java and TypeScript
  • Strong knowledge working with AWS, including Terraform, Lambda, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB
  • Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI
  • Proficient in Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Full working rights in Australia
