Role Overview

The Senior Management Accountant will play a vital role in implementing finance improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accountability within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the automation of reporting processes to streamline financial data and improve decision-making.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI reporting to provide actionable insights and drive business outcomes.
  • Implement consolidated and divisional reporting to drive accountability and transparency.
  • Update the Chart of Accounts to align with modern reporting needs and ensure accurate financial representation.
  • Streamline and automate short- and long-term cash flow analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Enhance bank transaction processes and review banking requirements to optimise financial performance.
  • Support tax consolidation, GST grouping, and TPAR reporting to ensure compliance and minimise tax liabilities.
  • Document finance procedures and create role-specific workplans to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Collaborate on IT strategy and improve Netsuite utilisation to drive digital transformation and enhance business agility.
  • Analyse costs and supplier relationships to recommend efficiencies and drive cost savings.
  • Implement expense management and credit card expenditure reporting to promote financial discipline and accountability.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative approach, strong execution focus, and proficiency in Netsuite and advanced Excel skills. They will have experience in project management and systems integration, as well as strong knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or Solutions 7. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, and effective communication skills to simplify complex information for non-financial audiences.
