Leadership Role in Early Childhood Education
Busy Bees Australia Employer Pty Ltd is looking for a dynamic and confident leader to join our management team as an Assistant Service Manager. This role is ideal for someone who strives to excel and set high industry standards for their team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will work collaboratively with the Service Manager to help our service excel. Your main responsibilities will include creating quality relationships with children, parents, and staff, as well as addressing and resolving issues that may arise within the service. If you are passionate about early learning and have the skills and experience to lead a team, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Essential Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA
- A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
- First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis
Essential Skills and Attributes
- An understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes
- The ability to support, mentor, and lead a team of educators in the absence of the Service Manager
- Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications
- Strong verbal and written skills for effective interactions with families, staff, and regulatory bodies
- The ability to address and resolve issues that may arise within the service
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in a Service 2IC, Assistant Director, Assistant Service Manager, or similar role within an early childhood setting
- Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff
- Proficiency in using relevant management software and tools for communication, documentation, and reporting
- A commitment to engage in ongoing training and development
- Skills to address and mediate challenges or disputes that might arise among staff or with families
