Payroll Officer

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Australian payroll, handling payroll inquiries, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Australian payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly, providing excellent customer service to employees and management.
- Assist the outsourcer with pay run preparations and provide employee movements on a timely basis.
- Prepare payroll-related calculations, such as new hires payments, termination pays, and FTE changes.
- Accurately process payroll for 1,000 employees on a monthly basis.
- Prepare pay run variance reports and ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll operations run smoothly.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Assist the senior payroll officer with payroll reporting and other payroll-related tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Payroll function experience in a corporate organization.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail in previous roles.
- Approachable and friendly manner with a customer orientation focus.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience managing a team.
- Knowledge of Preceda an advantage but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
