Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through effective communication and negotiation skills.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the parts market by capitalising on emerging trends and competitor activities.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently, resulting in high-quality products and services.

Analyse market data and trends to inform strategic decisions, drive business growth, and prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts for management review.

Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance its presence and reputation.

Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements for Success

A successful Business Development Manager should possess a proven track record in sales, preferably within the Industrial/Manufacturing sector.

Strong knowledge of the parts market and related products is essential to identify new business opportunities and provide valuable insights to clients.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required to interpret market data, trends, and competitor activities to make informed strategic decisions.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, sales, or a related field can provide a solid foundation for this role.
