About the Role

The Participant Support Officer is a key member of our dynamic team, responsible for managing daily priorities and workflows. This role involves procedural, clerical, and administrative support, as well as basic research and analysis. You will provide straightforward advice to internal and external stakeholders, with your work regularly monitored by senior officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage participant matters by carrying out planning tasks in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Provide reception and counter support for local offices, including assisting participants with self-help kiosks and online support.
  • Address customer inquiries, provide information, or refer customers to appropriate government or community services.
  • Manage the shared team inbox, handle appointments, and respond to telephone inquiries.
  • Coordinate appointments, ensuring the use of office facilities and accessibility for participants.
  • Conduct research, investigate matters, and prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Perform data entry tasks and ensure all follow-up actions are completed.
  • Receive and record complaints and feedback in business systems.
About You

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in clerical and administrative tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in managing enquiries and appointments through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Basic research and analytical skills, with an ability to prepare reports and handle sensitive information.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
