Prosthetist Role

Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association Ltd. (AOPA) is seeking a skilled Prosthetist to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a Prosthetist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary health professionals to establish customized treatment plans for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Casting, evaluating, modifying, and fitting prostheses to achieve client goals and outcomes.
  • Independently managing a caseload of both transtibial and transfemoral clients.
  • Attending metropolitan amputee clinics, conferring with medical and allied health practitioners, and advising on prescriptions.
  • Supervising and training junior clinical staff within the AOPA team.
  • Collaborating with the technical team to assist with prosthesis manufacturing.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client attendance, services, and client care.
  • Understanding and conforming to funding arrangements and administrative requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent qualifications.
  • Eligibility for Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association membership.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant prosthetic experience, including managing both transtibial and transfemoral clients.
  • Strong client focus, internal, and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Attention to detail, focus, and accuracy skills.
  • Sound verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to drive results and focus on outcomes.
