Job Title: Advanced Trainee Sexual Health Medicine

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Advanced Trainee in Sexual Health Medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage clients with sexual health concerns in accordance with best practice guidelines and program objectives.
  • Contribute to the provision of high-quality clinical services, including teaching and training at undergraduate, postgraduate, and community levels.
  • Participate in research and development activities, contributing to the enhancement of existing epidemiological programs.
  • Hold, or be progressing towards, a postgraduate qualification relevant to Sexual Health or Public Health.
  • Demonstrate exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, establishing and maintaining empathy, integrity, and confidentiality with sensitive or personal issues.
  • Previous experience in teaching and research is valued; experience in quality improvement activities is essential.
  • Display proficiency in self-management and work organization skills, demonstrating clinical competence in medical practice, and a commitment to working in a multidisciplinary environment.

About You:

  • Medical Registration & Qualifications: A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a genuine empathy for patients and their families, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team or independently.
  • Clinical Competence & Problem Solving: Proven skills in ward-based procedures, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure while maintaining patient care standards.
  • Commitment to Excellence & Adaptability: A proactive approach to quality improvement and a strong understanding of contemporary medical practices, with a positive response to change and knowledge of WHS principles.
