About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Finance and Budget Directorate, you will play a critical role in providing high-level support and advice to our Chief Finance Officer and executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial management advice and support to the Chief Finance Officer and executives.
  • Develop and coordinate the Directorate's financial reporting, budget process, and performance management.
  • Lead a team to deliver client-focused advice and support to business units within the Directorate.
  • Manage public sector financial resources and ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in complex accounting standards and principles, and public sector financial requirements.
  • Experience in managing public sector financial resources and leading a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to persuade and influence opinion.
  • Prior experience in leading, directing, and guiding a team while contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering quality client services to internal and external stakeholders.
