About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner with experience in Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS) and primary health care to provide exceptional patient care in Tennant Creek.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations for walk-in patients and scheduled appointments (15-20 patients per day)
- Collaborate with nursing staff for immunizations and blood tests
- Utilize the Communicare software system for patient management (knowledge preferred but not mandatory)
Facility Details
- Main building features a Women's Clinic and General Clinic
- Separate Men's Clinic on-site
- 25 consult rooms
- Pathology services on-site, with results available electronically
- Support from an administrative team, including Medicare and patient travel officers
- Travel, Car & Accommodation provided
- Clinic closed on Thursday afternoons for paperwork and audits.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Specialist General Practitioner in Australia
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Must have experience in AMS setting
- Experience in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, RHD) is an advantage
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $14,400 per week (based on 2-4 weeks duration and $1800 + GST per day rate), plus additional benefits such as travel, car, and accommodation provided.
