Job Summary

In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's mechanical aspects. You will lead the development of mechanical components and processes, ensuring that technical issues are resolved and the unique requirements of a project's mechanical aspects are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for a small-size project or assignment in support of a global business unit or staff group.
  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant engineering department procedures, design standards, and guides.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
  • Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
  • Provide guidance to other mechanical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects when delegated.
Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10 – 13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline, and of engineering work planning and control methods.
  • Computer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common software.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
