About the Role:

As a seasoned Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in leading the culinary team of our prestigious luxury hotel in Far North Queensland. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional service and high-quality dishes are consistently delivered to our discerning guests.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a passionate team of chefs and cooks, promoting a culture of excellence and creativity in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative menus that showcase the region's fresh produce and exceed guest expectations.
  • Maintain impeccable food safety standards, adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Manage kitchen resources efficiently, optimizing stock control and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement effective staff training programs, empowering team members to reach their full potential.
