Early Childhood Centre Director

The Early Childhood Centre Director will lead a team of educators and support staff to cultivate a collaborative, positive, and high-performing culture. This role offers the chance to work closely with a supportive team of educators and off-floor Assistant Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and mentor educators and support staff to develop a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of engaging educational programs that promote each child's development and wellbeing.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, families, team members, and the wider community.
  • Manage centre operations, including enrolments, staffing, rosters, budgeting, and allocation of resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including quality assurance, centre self-assessments, and reflective practices.
  • Support ongoing professional growth through mentoring, training opportunities, and regular performance reviews.
  • Act as the central point of contact for families, responding to enquiries, addressing concerns, and promoting engagement in the centre's community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved).
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulations, and Child Safe Standards applicable to Victorian early childhood services.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer and documentation skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check and identity verification.
