We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Leader to join our team as a Learning Specialist. This is a key role that requires a deep understanding of high-quality teaching and learning practices, as well as the ability to model and facilitate professional learning for teachers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning Expertise
    • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
    • Model exemplary classroom practice, including through teaching demonstration lessons.
    • Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development.
  • Professional Learning and Development
    • Lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
    • Develop and promote school-wide professional learning structures, processes, and protocols through Professional Learning Communities.
    • Supervise and train one or more student teachers and mentor and/or coach teachers.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Engage in collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing, and engagement.
    • Model exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, including through the provision of feedback and coaching to teachers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to model exemplary teaching practice, including the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating professional learning for teachers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
