About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Analyst to join our investment team at Challenger. As an ESG Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment teams to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making and provide advice on climate-related risks and opportunities across our investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze ESG and climate data to offer valuable insights for our investment strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with portfolio managers and investment professionals, providing expert ESG insights.
  • Provide advice to the investment team on ESG and climate data insights that can be embedded in investment strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of climate disclosures and support regulatory reporting.
  • Work within Challenger's governance structure to align our sustainability strategy with business goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably as an analyst, asset consultant, or investment specialist.
  • Background in finance or investments and a clear passion for ESG with proven experience or strong understanding of ESG issues within the institutional investment context.
  • Good knowledge of investment markets and processes, including asset management product structures, operating requirements, and disclosure issues.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver articulate, insightful communications to various audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and reporting guidelines, such as ISSB IFRS s1 and s2, AASB, TCFD, TNFD, and GRI.
