Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Services Technician to join our team at Fortescue. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our mobile mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople with the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile equipment.
  • Support the setup and organization of tools, materials, and workspaces.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks under the supervision of qualified tradespeople.
  • Help with the installation and maintenance of technology systems on mining equipment.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Participate in routine inspections and basic diagnostic tasks to identify equipment issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Services Technician/Trades Assistant or in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • High regard for safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • HR Driver's Licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
