About the Role:

We are looking for caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Assistants. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily needs, including personal care, medication administration, mobility assistance, and domestic duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing, and other essential tasks
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Assist with transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and provide general mobility support
  • Conduct domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Engage clients in community activities, including attending medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social/recreational events

Requirements:

  • Able to work morning, afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience in disability support work is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Calm and confident in all environments, with a strong understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity
  • Committed to an inclusive society and values client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates

  • A smartphone with iOS 13.0 or later operating system or Android 6.0 or later operating system

CPL Mandatory Trainings:

New starters must attend mandatory trainings in Caboolture and Brendale on designated dates.
