**Accounting Clerk Position**

We are seeking an experienced accounting clerk to manage our financial transactions, records, and reports.

This role involves maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements for management review. As an accounting clerk, you will work closely with our team to ensure timely and accurate financial data is available for decision-making purposes.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintaining day-to-day financial records and ledgers
  • Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
  • Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Managing trust accounts and practicing good cash handling skills
  • Processing payroll and assisting with tax preparation
  • Issuing receipts and invoices for client payments
  • Assisting with budget development and forecasting

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications and Xero accounting software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with trust accounting principles and practices
