**Regulatory Expert**
**About the opportunity:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a critical role in ensuring that we deliver high-quality regulatory services to our clients.
As a Regulatory Expert, you will work closely with industry stakeholders, government experts, and the community to ensure rigorous, transparent, and timely assessments of mining and exploration proposals. You will also contribute your expertise to the development of policies and guidelines, supporting continuous improvement in regulatory services across the state.
**Key Responsibilities:*
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and issues affecting the regulation of mining and exploration activities
- Develop and implement policies and guidelines to support continuous improvement in regulatory services
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders, government experts, and the community to ensure effective communication and consultation on regulatory matters
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other stakeholders on regulatory issues and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, regulations, and industry developments to ensure that our services remain current and relevant
**Requirements:**
- A degree in science, environmental management or engineering related to the resources industry
- Proven experience in planning and managing projects, particularly in preparing environmental and broader impact assessments within the mineral resources sector
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and continuously improve work practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results

**Qualifications:**
Essential qualifications include a degree in science, environmental management or engineering related to the resources industry. Proven experience in planning and managing projects, particularly in preparing environmental and broader impact assessments within the mineral resources sector, is also essential.
