The Role of a Child Care Assistant in Outside School Hours Care

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Child Care Assistant. The role involves working with children in a safe learning environment, providing quality activities that are fun, stimulating and carry educational value.

You will be responsible for supervising and supporting children, preparing and serving healthy food options and creating an engaging and happy environment for the children.

We value strong relationships between colleagues, children, families, school leaders and the school community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong focus on child safety and appreciation for mandatory reporting
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Certificate III or higher in Children's Services, Early Childhood or School Aged Care (or studying towards)

You must also have a Working with Children Check (willing to obtain), First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training (or willing to obtain).
