About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our merchandise retail operations for events across the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving commercial returns.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver successful merchandise retail operations.
  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning and financial management strategies to optimize event budgets and resources.
  • Foster a culture of high-performance and fun within the team through collaborative leadership and coaching.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong analytical skills, a focus on benchmarking and continuous improvement, and excellent sales and leadership abilities. Ideally, you will have experience in merchandise/retail operations within the concert/event environment and functional event planning and delivery within an arena/stadium or similar setting.

About You
  • You are a customer-centric professional with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build high-trust relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing demands with ease.
  • You hold tertiary qualifications relevant to the venue and event industry (or equivalent experience).

  • A competitive salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience), based on the Victorian Government's Award Wage Calculator.
