Job Description:

The YMCA has been a cornerstone of Australian communities for over four decades.

We recognized the need for childcare that focuses on nurturing children's growth in body, mind and spirit. Our first early learning service launched in Brisbane in 1977.

Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) offers a fun, stimulating and safe environment for primary and secondary school children before and after school hours.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Educator to join our exceptional team on a permanent, part-time basis.

This role will be based at our beautiful Loganholme Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service, located within the Loganholme State School grounds.

Our program is designed according to the My Time Our Place Framework and centered around the elements of Belonging, Being and Becoming.

This position will lead the development and implementation of the education program by promoting children's well-being, personal growth and learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment with support from Assistant Coordinator and Coordinator.
  • Evaluate children's learning and development to inform the design of the educational program.
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff and all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the Educator team's understanding of the program and practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and have a minimum of three years' experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
