**Job Description**

The position of Deputy Principal at Queensland's newest youth detention centre is a leadership opportunity that requires a strong commitment to education and the well-being of students.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will play a central role in the day-to-day operations of the school and support the implementation of the school's improvement agenda.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Principal in leading the school community to develop a shared educational vision.
  • Deputising for the Principal when required.
  • Upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.
  • Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Leading the development and implementation of effective timetabling systems to optimise student achievement.
  • Driving initiatives that support student wellbeing, behaviour, and post-detention pathways.
