Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

This challenging and rewarding role is for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients consistent with policies, procedures and standards.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proactively engage with patients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.

We are committed to providing exceptional care and promoting healthier lives for our community. We offer a comprehensive emergency nursing training and support program with dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Educators to support ongoing professional development.

We have a brand new state-of-the-art Emergency Department with 39 funded treatment bays including three resuscitation bays, a dedicated 7-bed paediatric area, and an 8-bed emergency short-stay unit.

Selection Criteria:
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills and ability to identify key messages when communicating with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
  • Knowledge of risk management safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
  • Recent experience in emergency nursing or an acute care facility.
