Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team at Frankston Primary School. As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational services provided to students, working closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine support for teachers, including assisting with planning of student routines and supporting communication between teachers and parents.
  • Communicate with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities, and provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
  • Communicate with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information, and address immediate behavioral presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure.
  • Provide basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting, and support teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.
  • Provide medical intervention support to students under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance, and provide specialized communication support for students and teachers in areas such as AUSLAN and braille.
