Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional secretarial services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking incoming calls and directing callers to the appropriate staff member
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate client records
- Performing general office duties such as typing, scanning, filing, and archiving
- Assisting with the closing and securing of the building at the end of the day
- Preparing medical letters and documents for the clinical team
- Billing Medicare and processing electronic payments
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and clients
Requirements:
We require an individual with:
- A Certificate III in Medical Administration or equivalent qualification
- Strong administration, time management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the healthcare sector and experience working with diverse individuals
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of duty of care, privacy, and confidentiality
- Good availability and eligibility to apply/currently hold a Working With Children Check
