Software Development Expert - Oracle Apex

The Department of Justice and Community Safety delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria. Our team is responsible for developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our business units.

About the Role

This Senior Software Development role will be responsible for developing new application components and work packages for existing or new APEX/oracle applications. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of business and IT specialists to:

  • Design, develop and deliver Oracle Apex related software (web app, mobile) to meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate and ensure that software specifications and designs align with enterprise architectures and comply with standards.
  • Integrate software solutions with existing systems such as OCI, AWS, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Resolve, .NET, and webMethods.
  • Produce complex technical documentation in accordance with quality review standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Expert knowledge and experience in using Oracle development tools and the Oracle database (PL/SQL) environment.
  • Experience using source code controls and Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins, GIT, SourceTree, etc.
  • Adaptability across various software development methodologies including waterfall, iterative, incremental and agile.
