Physical Security Architect, DC Security Solutions Engineering

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Architect to join our DC Security Solutions Engineering team. As a Physical Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and engineering security systems for data center basis of design (BOD) projects, ensuring compliance to standards by managing the creation of owners requirements, drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer security systems for data center BOD projects, including electronic systems, site and building elements.
- Supervise and approve all designs deliverables developed by the architect/engineer of record and for BOD projects at each milestone of a project.
- Coordinate with all other disciplines in the design process, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, telecom, structural, etc.
- Use Blue Beam and other drafting technologies to work in collaboration with the design teams to produce designs in Revit/CAD, managing scope with internal design teams for modeling and drafting.
- Create specialty templates for unique workflows within global programs.
- Collaborate with security teams as a subject matter expert for optimization of security technologies, practices, and application across organizations.
- Provide technical and design support for physical security project teams.
- Evaluate, coordinate, and drive BOD change management issues to resolution for consideration in BOD standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert to support implementation of new technologies.
- Work regionally but also support global security teams to ensure alignment on decisions and standards.
- Domestic and international travel approximately 25% of the time.
About the Team
The Security Solutions team provides engineering expertise and design support for security devices and solutions in data centers globally. We own and support security products throughout their lifecycle, and our scope also includes emergent global scale remediation strategic efforts that impact Data Center Security and introducing and driving business improvement initiatives increasing visibility and enabling data-driven decision making.
What You'll Need
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, or Physical Security, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years' experience in physical security system design and engineering, 5+ years' experience with one or more drafting technologies such as, REVIT, AutoCad, BlueBeam and others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in related field.
- Physical Security Design experience in corrections, military, government, or large corporate environments.
- Experience living abroad, extensive travel, or demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Personal network of international security technology professionals.
- PSP, CPP, PMP Certification, CPTED Certification.
