About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Northcott. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a disability to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that promote social skills, independent living skills, and creativity.
  • Support participants to access the community and engage with peers, promoting social inclusion and participation.
  • Provide personal care and manual handling assistance as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans, promoting participant autonomy and independence.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Minimum Cert III in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Hold a valid QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • Completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of professional boundaries and practice.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • General computer skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm towards the work.
