Job Title: Environmental Scientist

ALS is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team in Yatala. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of your own projects, including field work, client liaison, quoting, project management, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field work, including infield sampling across a mix of brownfield, commercial, industrial, and residential client sites.
  • Liaise with clients, including restoration firms, developers, councils, construction firms, and insurers.
  • Prepare quotes and service scopes based on client briefings.
  • Manage projects, including subcontractor oversight as required.
  • Write reports reflecting findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Environmental Science.
  • 2+ years of field experience in contaminated land, water sampling, and mould sampling projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, completing field work across contaminated land, mould, and water sampling.
  • Ability to travel and work on weekends as needed.
  • Proactive interest in expanding knowledge through leveraging existing reference material and direct and broader sampling team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high-level MS O365 skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with Blue Beam and ESDAT.
  • A valid Open Driver's License and construction industry white card are essential.
