We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team as Casual Swimming Instructors in Coffs Harbour, Australia.

About the role

As a Casual Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming and water safety skills to students of all ages. Our ideal candidate is someone who can create a fun and motivating environment while promoting safety in and around the water.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering engaging swimming lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Effective communication and demonstration of swimming techniques to ensure students understand and apply them correctly.
  • Providing constructive feedback to support students in improving their swimming skills.
  • Maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
  • Accurate lesson administration and record-keeping.

What's required?

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification from Austswim, Royal Life Saving or Swim Australia.
  • A current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) Certificate.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to different teaching styles.

What's on offer?

This casual opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $31.73, plus 25% loading, providing a total hourly rate of approximately $39.72. You'll also have numerous benefits available to you as an employee of the City of Coffs Harbour.
