Job Summary

As an Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in supporting the school's education program and ensuring the effective development of student learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of senior curriculum coordinators
  • Allocating budgets, positions of responsibility, and other resources within the area of responsibility
  • Supervising the delivery of teaching programs
  • Managing programs to improve staff knowledge and experience
  • Responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators
  • Contributing to the overall management of the school

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A clear understanding of the school's strategic plan, policies, and budget
  • Ability to motivate staff and develop their talents
  • Capacity to foster a learning environment that takes account of individual needs
