Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver structural elements and analyses for naval ships under contract.
  • Provide engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.
  • Complete structural systems design for naval ship systems, applying robust systems engineering principles.
  • Perform first-principle structural calculations to required standards.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS software package for complex tasks.
  • Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis, and solution identification.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports and documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various engineering disciplines to develop new naval ship system designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Proven skills and experience in structural or naval architecture functions.
  • Experience in a Defence environment, preferably with Finite Element Modelling and Analysis expertise.
  • Demonstrated understanding of structures and material properties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
