About the Role

The NSW Crime Commission is seeking an experienced Archivist to join its Corporate and Enterprise Services Division. As an Archivist, you will be responsible for delivering the Commission's records management sentencing and retention program, ensuring that all records are properly maintained and managed throughout their lifecycle.

You will work closely with internal clients to provide consistent, efficient, and responsive services regarding record maintenance and lifecycle management activities. This includes ensuring that the Commission's archiving practices satisfy legislative requirements across a broad range of records management and law enforcement information management related legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement records management policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with records management legislation
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on records management best practices
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of records management into business operations
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong knowledge of records management principles and practices
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a law enforcement or government agency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
