About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Australia. As a key member of our expert team, you will play a critical role in developing world-class systems designed to keep Australia safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and management of key security certification and cyber worthiness artefacts
  • Work with system designers to implement security into designs
  • Conduct regular security working groups to discuss risks and controls with stakeholders
  • Conduct threat modelling to identify and articulate security risks and analyse potential treatments
  • Support and conduct practical threat assessments and treatment analysis
  • Oversee the execution of successful cyber worthiness accreditation
Requirements
  • Requires a University Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or other STEM discipline with relevant technical experience.
  • 10 years working experience in a similar role.
  • Requires an intermediate to advanced understanding of systems engineering processes
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing security measures for complex systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including: Network and system security, Access controls and authentication, Vulnerability management, Incident response and disaster recovery, Compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, PSPF, ISM and DSPF)
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and security information and event management systems (SIEMs).
  • Strong delivery, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.defence.gov.au/employment/SecurityClearance
