Personal Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic personal support worker to provide high-quality support to clients with spinal injuries and other complex health needs, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position available in the Individual and Family Services industry.

About the Role:
  • Provide personal support to clients with spinal injuries and other complex health needs.
  • Assist with ventilated care and support, toileting, bladder and bowel management, including catheter and STOMA care management.
  • Deliver PEG meal supplements and feeding, passive exercises, and in-home rehabilitation exercise programs.
  • Assist with medication and basic wound care management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work across different areas and meet a variety of clients while maintaining strong and consistent support.
  • Adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Open availability from Thursday to Monday, including late night finishes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50km.
  • Previous experience working with spinal injuries, nursing, aged care, or disability support.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Smartphone device, NDIS Workers Screening Card, and/or Working with Children card, or willingness to apply.
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete.
Successful Candidates Will Hold:
  • A valid Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle.
