We are seeking a skilled Marine Restoration Scientist to join our Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC) as a Senior Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Restoration Ecology.

Your Role

As a Senior Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at CMERC, you will contribute to our mission by conducting research on seagrass ecosystems within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.

Your work will involve developing innovative strategies for coastal habitat restoration and ecosystem management, collaborating with our team of experts to advance our knowledge and understanding of marine ecology.

You will have the opportunity to publish your research findings, present at conferences, and contribute to policy development that supports the conservation of our planet's precious natural resources.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent experience
  • Post-doctoral research experience, with a strong publication record and conference presentation history
  • Proficiency in seagrass ecology and/or restoration ecology
  • A solid understanding of ecological principles and processes
