Sanitation Professional

We are seeking reliable and skilled professionals to join our team as Sanitation Professionals at early childhood education and care centres in Townsville. As a Sanitation Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the centre provides quality care to families.

• Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment, including mops, vacuum cleaners, and floor cleaners.
• Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, replacing bin liners, and keeping bins clean and free from smell.
• Laundry washing and folding.
• Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms, and furniture.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
• Washing windows, walls, mirrors, and glass surfaces and ensuring they are streak-free.
• Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with necessary items, including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Handling and storing chemicals and cleaning products safely.
• Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests.

• Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational or commercial setting is highly regarded.
• Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Autonomy and strong Work Health and Safety focus.
• Flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
