About the Role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team at Electro Optic Systems Pty Ltd, responsible for developing and implementing the global sourcing and procurement strategy for materials and componentry used in the manufacture of EOS products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers locally and internationally to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality materials and componentry.
  • Identify and select suitable vendors for the supply of make-to-order materials and allied services, aligning with EOS DS technical, engineering, and commercial objectives.
  • Support the design and production of EOS DS equipment and components, adding competitive advantage to EOS DS through strategic sourcing of materials.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of EOS DS' global supply chain efficiencies and strategy, including the identification of opportunities for procurement hubs and global versus local sourcing.
  • Support the costing and estimating needs of the business by obtaining competitive quotes from external parties for goods and services, maintaining awareness of vendor lead times, and negotiating changes to lead times as required.
Requirements
  • International and local sourcing experience at a strategic level.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing trade or degree qualification.
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) highly regarded.
