About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Consultant to join our Co-Ops team at Arinco trades as Arinco (VIC) Pty.

This is a hybrid role with your time split between our customer sites and your home office - we are also open to fully remote if required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide level 2 and 3 support to our CoOps customers
  • Provide on call/after-hours support for Major Incidents on a rotating roster
  • Provide enhancement, build and development services to our customers
  • Apply SRE principles to monitor and measure what's important
  • Applying an automate-everything approach to customer platforms for reliability at scale
  • Reduce toil via initiatives that include automation, self-service, self-healing, Autoscaling, and more.
  • Perform and automate security posture and finops reporting and reviews
  • Hunting down platform and application improvement opportunities for our customers
  • Configure and tune Monitoring and Event Management
  • Build, configure and deploy CICD/IaC pipelines (Azure DevOps, Github, Terraform)
  • Performing Incident post-mortems with a 'blameless' approach so we fail fast and learn
  • Contribute to Arinco's engineering practices, standards and frameworks. You will work closely with the Tech Leads and tech community
Technical Requirements
  • Mid-Senior level experience with Microsoft Azure (3+ years experience)
  • Mid-Senior level consulting experience (the ability to organise and run workshops, gather, document and scope customer requirements, deliver on the work, oversee others doing the work)
  • Experience operating a support (ops) role – supporting enterprise-scale production workloads
  • Extensive experience developing, enhancing and deploying Infrastructure using Bicep
  • A passion for automation and solving difficult technical issues
  • Understanding of SRE practices for running and building reliable, scalable services.
  • Extensive experience in a Site Reliability, Software, Infrastructure and/or Systems role.
  • Experience with coordinating and leading technical responses to Incidents and Problems
  • Coding experience in one or more languages (.NET, C#, PowerShell) to develop new solutions for customers and automate everything
  • Experience with configuring and tuning monitoring and event management stacks
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop is advantageous
